I’m Vedran Markovic, and I help direct-to-consumer brands bridge the gap between their online success and online store growth through strategic local SEO.

My journey began in the corporate world, where I spent years as an SEO manager for premium brands like Eric Javits, a luxury hat and accessories company. While managing their digital presence, I discovered something most D2C brands miss: local SEO is the secret weapon that connects online customers to physical locations.

But getting to that point wasn’t straightforward.

Before I found my calling, I wasted years in corporate environments that made me feel invisible, worthless, and completely dead inside. The corporate ladder felt like a trap, no matter how much effort I put in, it was never enough. I’d give 200%, pour my heart into projects, stay late, go the extra mile. But instead of appreciation, I got indifference. Sometimes worse than indifference: I remember colleagues actually telling me I was “stupid to work more.” The message was clear: don’t stand out, don’t care too much, just blend in.

But I couldn’t do that. I’ve never been someone who can just coast through life doing the bare minimum. I wanted something more, something that actually mattered to me.

That’s when I realized I needed to build a life around my passion, not someone else’s corporate goals.

Digital marketing had always fascinated me. The way you could reach people, tell stories, solve problems, and actually see the impact of your work in real time, it felt alive in a way that shuffling papers in a cubicle never did.

So I made the decision that would change everything: I quit my job.

But I didn’t just walk away recklessly. Before I handed in my resignation, I spent months preparing for my new life as an agency owner. I stayed up late into the night after work, sacrificed weekends, and poured every spare moment into building something of my own. I prepared better than I ever thought possible because failure wasn’t an option, I refused to crawl back to the corporate world and waste any more of my life there.

I specialized in SEO because it combined everything I loved: strategy, creativity, problem-solving, and tangible real results. No more begging for recognition from bosses who didn’t care. No more being told to dim my light.

Now I get to channel all that passion, the same passion the corporate world told me to suppress, into helping small businesses grow on their own terms. I’ve built the life I always knew I deserved, and honestly?

It’s everything I fought for.
